Volunteer opportunities include such activities as assisting with the planning and organization of special events, mentoring or tutoring youth in our college access or residential programs, offering specialized programs such as money management or healthy cooking to the parents in our Intensive Foster Care program, completing small one-day projects in our Residential programs (e.g. painting or general landscaping), and soliciting donations for our annual Adopt-a-Child program, which provides gifts to hundreds of youngsters in need during the holiday season. Youth Opportunities Upheld, Inc. Future Goals 1. Maintain a program growth strategy that takes full advantage of expanding areas in the industry, and further develop strong existing agency programs. 2. Assure that our technology meets the needs of our service delivery and positions us for future industry changes. 3. Enhance public relations through marketing and branding initiatives, including a larger social media and digital communication presence. 4. Expand future fundraising initiatives to develop existing programs and seek new opportunities. 5. Reorganize our organizational structure and governance to align with present-day practices and service delivery. 6. Prioritize talent management practices to best recruit and retain a highly talented staff that meets the needs of consumers and positions the agency for future growth. 7. Maintain and develop an infrastructure that can support current program operations and grow as new business opportunities emerge. YOU Ball - Gala for Kids (November 12, 2016) The Gala for Kids draws more than 350 guests annually, includ- ing many leaders of Worcester's business and civic communi- ties, and offers outstanding sponsor visibility before and during the event. The Gala includes both live and silent auctions, for which donations are gratefully accepted, as well as a formal din- ner, live music and entertainment. SkiFest (December – March) Our annual SkiFest includes the winter-long sale of discounted lift tickets via our website and other social media outlets, capped off by a fun day of skiing at Wachusett Mountain for the youth in our programs. Corporate sponsorship opportunities for the event include print and radio media exposure. Volunteer Opportunities Giving Opportunities Individual donations, foundation grants and corporate sponsorships are vital to the success of our programs. Corporate Impact Program: Throughout the year, investors in our Corporate Impact Program enjoy significant visibility and sponsor benefits, including signage at special events, and website and social media exposure. Annual Appeal Our agency maintains an Annual Fund and reaches out to donors at several intervals during each fiscal year. In-Kind Donations We welcome in-kind donations of goods and services for raffles and silent auctions at most events. Adopt-a-Child Each December a dedicated group of YOU, Inc. staff members solicits and collects holiday gifts and monetary donations for as many as 1,000 youth in our care. Planned Giving Our Greenwood Society honors those individuals who have named YOU, Inc. as the beneficiary of a planned gift. We welcome the opportunity to discuss the benefits of a legacy gift and the impact it can have on the work we do.
