Visitation House Inc. Future Goals 1. The main goal of Visitation House is to provide a service to the underprivileged pregnant woman, who has no visible means of support. 2. We house, educate and nurture them while they reside at Visitation House. 3. We empower them so they may have the strength needed to become a family. Fundraising Events/Opportunities Every April, Visitation House holds its annual dinner, which draws approximately 500 attendees. In addition to donors at the dinner, we have a silent auction to raise funds. It's always the event of the year, much like a huge family reunion, and attendees enjoy seeing their friends. We feature a keynote speaker and give an award to the individual who has made the most significant contribution to the success of Visitation House. Volunteer Opportunities Giving Opportunities Visitation House sends out a newsletter twice a year; we are in the process of sending monthly mini-newsletters via email. We have helped women from Africa, Asia, etc., anyone who happens to be in the Worcester area when they find themselves pregnant and homeless. To provide the following for women in crisis pregnancy: • material, emotional, financial assistance • basic living requirements within a family environment • information for residents on how to access local services and agencies that are available • in-house life skills training courses Visitation House is privately funded by Individuals, Foundations, Local Parishes and Bequests.
