Promote high quality early education and care to at-risk children who live in Worcester by sustaining a leadership position in offering programs and services that maximize children's academic aptitude, their social and emotional well being and their passion for lifelong learning. 2. Further develop healthy lifestyle and nutrition programs. Key initiatives include increasing students' knowledge and preference of growing, cooking and eating nutritious food and increasing their strength through daily exercise. 3. Maintain Rainbow Child Development Center's high standards associated with the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation, Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) Standards, and MA Curriculum Frameworks. 4. Engage, strengthen and empower parents and children to bridge the gap between home and school. Encourage par - ents to actively participate in their children's academic, social and emotional achievements by attending family friendly literacy, nutrition and cultural events; parent-child cooking classes; and trainings the Center offers. 5. Rainbow will continue to recognize and strengthen the vital role and positive influence its community partners have to close the achievement gap.
