An investment in efficiency can help you reinvest in your business. A partnership with Eversource connects you to a wide range of energy- efficient solutions. Solutions that create energy cost savings you can reinvest in other areas of your business. Like Matt Lynch of Lynch Motors. He took advantage of our energy solutions and greatly reduced his monthly energy costs, allowing him to improve the safety, comfort, and all-around appearance of his building. Our energy experts will identify the right electric and natural gas energy strategies, including LED lighting, heating and cooling equipment, control systems, and more. We'll also connect you to low-interest financing* options and incentives, along with qualified contractors to get you on the road to saving money and reinvesting it back into your business. Paid for by a charge on customer energy bills. *Interest rates vary by eligibility. Working with Eversource and Energize Connecticut, I was introduced to more-efficient LED lighting. The brightness and quality of the new lighting drastically improved the overall presence of the business and reduced my monthly energy costs by 25%. Plus, the financing program made implementing the lighting upgrades more affordable, allowing me to invest in other areas of the business—including training, advertising, and other building upgrades. —Matt Lynch, Vice President of Lynch Motors PUBLICATION Full Page LIVE 9.5 x 13.375 TRIM 10 x 13.875 BLEED 10.25 x 14.125 Hartford Business Journal "It seemed like an opportunity for us that would be something fun and interesting," Rakich-Kelly said. Plus, she and many of her team of seven attorneys are rabid hoops fans. Unlike the Boy Scouts, the CLC does receive state funding in the form of fees from the Office of the Chief Public Defender as well as a line item. That line item was cut in the recent budget from around $110,000 to just under $103,000. Rakich-Kelly said state support for CLC was as high as approximately $150,000 around 2007. In 2015, CLC posted a $108,000 deficit — its largest in at least five years. The nonprofit has had to make changes to employee benefits, and Rakich-Kelly said the year ahead could be more challenging. So a boost would be nice. "We're excited about the brackets," she said. n The five winners of Brackets' 2016 tournaments received checks at an Indiana Pacers game earlier this year. P H O T O | C O N T R I B U T E D
