Corny answer, but I believe that is yet to come. Every day is building on the previous, and that's where the magic is made. What is your advice to young busi- ness people? Believe in your dreams, shoot straight and never give up. What is the first impression of you want leave with business con- tacts? Intrigue. So many faces come and go, make sure that everyone you meet is treated courteously, and when you depart, they want to know more. Why do you work in Central Massachusetts? It's the up-and-com- ing place to be. Follow the excitement and ingenuity, and you'll always be inspired. There's nowhere else like it. n Sixteen years ago as a 17-year-old boy, Terpollari arrived in America on his own after escaping civil war in Albania. For the past 12 years, he worked two jobs to enable his family to come to the United States. Since joining Veterans Inc. five years ago, Terpollari rose through three levels in the chain-of-command to become site coordinator, which includes clinical management of the 85-transitional bed- facility with 24/7 staff coverage. Twice, he saved the lives of veterans whose medical condition resulted in sudden heart attacks, using his training and trademark calm under pressure. Terpollari is the founder of the Albanian educational institution Shoqata KOMBI in Worcester. By the time I am 50, I would like to have accomplished…humanitari- an missions abroad. Who gave you the best career advice? My best friend, when he referred me to obtain employment in a homeless veteran shelter. The people I work with would tell you I am…a supportive, unbiased, hard worker. Who is the fictional character you are most like? Captain Planet – I love the idea of preserving our planet. n Inthirath founded Envision Digital to help businesses create successful mar- keting plans. His team focuses on cli- ents' online presence to humanize the digital experience for customers. These efforts led to clients increasing bottom- line revenues by upwards of 70 percent. Inthirath is a business counselor for the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce, a member of the marketing committee for Discover Central Massachusetts and an ambassador for Real Men Making Strides in Worcester, supporting American Cancer Society. Whose career would you most like to emulate? Walt Disney. He was able to connect with all people, young and old, around the world, regardless of their socioeconomic background, reli- gious beliefs, skin color or nationality. What would you like to tell your 10-year-old self? If you ever have doubt about anything, disregard it and go for it. You never want to have any regrets or wonder, "What if?" I prepare for the unexpected by…I don't. I just roll with it and adapt to the situation. If you could have dinner with any four people, who would they be? Abraham Lincoln, Walt Disney, Dale Carnegie, Iron Man. n Abraham has managed the environ- mental site assessment and remediation effort of properties throughout Worcester County as part of Tighe & Bond's Worcester office for more than 12 years. The goal is to see abandoned properties thrive again. In addition to his day job, Abraham has coordinated 24-hour emergency response services for utility companies to clean up hazardous material releases following disasters such as tornados, hurricanes and ice storms. Abraham helped the Tighe & Bond team raise more than $175,000 for the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the Pan-Mass Challenge, a 192-mile bike-a-thon across Massachusetts. The PMC has been an important part of Abraham's life, as he met his wife at his first ride in 2010. What is your advice to aspiring young business people? Listen close- ly to people's questions; it is the most effective way to help them. Where do you get your motiva- tion to succeed? Knowing that the results of our work ultimately help with the revitalization of properties. If I hadn't gone down this career path, I would have liked to...become a wildlife photographer. n Residence: Worcester Birthplace: Albania Colleges: University of New England, Worcester State University Evis Wilmes Terpollari, 34 Site coordinator, Veterans Inc., Worcester Kham Inthirath, 36 Founder & president, Envision Digital Group, Worcester Residence: Northbridge Birthplace: Vientiane, Laos Colleges: Johnson & Wales University, Providence College Residence: Grafton Birthplace: Rochester, Mass.
