The Southern Maine Community College Foundation in South Portland received $30,000 from the Mary Louise Williams Haskell Scholarship and $12,500 from the Gene Haas Scholarship that will benefi t students in the Early Childhood Education and Precision Machining programs. Farmington approves incentives for assisted-living facility e Woodlands Senior Living in Waterville will get a tax break that will aid plans to build a 32-bed assisted-living facility on Knowlton Corner Road in Farmington. e Kennebec Journal reports that the tax break comes following a spe- cial town meeting vote on July 26 that was attended by 10 Farmington residents.
