24 AI Engineers, Inc.
AI does more than provide outstanding services for
clients. It understands that as a company, it cannot rest
on its laurels. Its leadership recognizes that a successful
organization must also be a good corporate citizen.
Envisioning
the Future
A
s a firm, AI focuses on solving some of
the overarching problems that plague our
local communities and the industry at large.
The company and employees work in harmo-
ny with local institutions and organizations to
create a culture of innovation and opportunity.
"We need to be continually improving
our infrastructure, our education and our
quality of life," said AI President and CEO,
Abul Islam, PE, FASCE.
Quality of education in local high
schools and colleges is a key concern for
many businesses including AI. For instance,
in Connecticut, AI has a longstanding
partnership with the Connecticut Business
Industry & Association (CBIA), especially its
education foundation and advisory board.
The company has played a significant
role in CBIA's efforts in helping to plan the
STEM program at Hartford High School —
the Academy of Engineering and Green
Technology (AoEGT); participating in the
Yes Academy, where students gain interview
and resume preparation skills, organizing a
field trip to the CTfastrak Newington Bus Sta
-
tion construction site to provide prospective
engineering students a glimpse into the in-
dustry, and hiring AoEGT students as interns.
One such intern, Danilo Sena, went on to
become an AI employee after graduating
from the University of Connecticut.
