SULLIVAN, a Worcester resident, was named vice president, chief underwriting and product officer, at Boston Mutual Life Insurance Co. in Canton. In his newly created role, Sullivan will oversee underwriting and product development efforts at the company. He has extensive experience in insurance, most recently as CEO of the U.S. Accident Division at Pan-American Life Insurance Co. in Shrewsbury. TONYA LAIRD has been promoted to the position of senior branch manager/ branch administrator at North Brookfield Savings Bank in North Brookfield. A bank employee since 2001, she has held several positions with the company, including assistant branch manager, customer service manager and, most recently, branch manager/IRA specialist. LOUIS CIAVARRA, a partner at Bowditch & Dewey in Worcester, was appointed to the 495/MetroWest Suburban Edge Community Commission. The 77-room hotel is owned by the Fantaroni family; General Manager Tory Pucci accepted the award. n Bill Wallace, executive director of the Worcester Historical Museum, was honored by the Massachusetts History Conference with the Bay State Legacy Award. Wallace has been the museum's director for 40 years. n Stephen Yerdon of Holden, executive director at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in Rutland, is the recipient of the 2016 Community Leadership Award presented to him by the Wachusett Area Chamber of Commerce. n The Family Birthing Center at Harrington Hospital in Southbridge was recognized by the Immunization Action Coalition (IAC) and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health for its work protecting newborns from hepatitis B. The center is now listed on the IAC's Birth Dose Honor Roll. n AdCare Hospital, with drug-and- alcohol treatment facilities in Worcester, recognized employees for their milestone years of service at a dinner at the Beechwood Hotel in Worcester. Chamber of Commerce's Ambassador of the Year. J. TIMOTHY SMITH was named treasurer and secretary of Workers Financial Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Workers Credit Union. Smith is senior vice president and chief financial officer and treasurer at Workers Credit Union. KAITLYN BURNETT is now an account manager with New England Sign Group in Auburn, specializing in healthcare signage, including hospitals throughout New England. She is an honors graduate of Fitchburg State University with a bachelor's degree in communications, with a concentration in graphic design. STEVEN MCINTOSH was hired as a job developer at the Worcester Community Action Council, Inc. In his new role, he oversees weekly training and case management for youth employed through the YouthWorks Summer Jobs program. MICHAEL ASPESI was awarded Tow Times magazine's Rising Star Award for his involvement in industry towing organizations, leadership skills and dedication to the field. He is the owner of Ted's of Fayville, a towing company in Southborough, and learned the towing and recovery business from his father, Peter Aspesi. He is the director of the Statewide Towing Association of Massachusetts and the committee that raises funds for a local children's cancer hospital. RACHAEL SLOZAK is now universal assistant branch manager at the Route 9 branch location in West Brookfield for North Brookfield Savings Bank. In her new position, she will be responsible for helping customers with loan inquiries and applications, opening new accounts and ensuring efficiency in the teller line. She joined the bank in 2014, when the bank she worked for, FamilyFirst Bank, merged with North Brookfield Savings Bank. A graduate of Holyoke Community College, Slozak lives in Warren. n
