The program, funded by the Comcast Foun- dation, is a one-time, $1,000 scholarship awarded to the best high school seniors for their community service, academic perfor- mance and leadership skills. • • • The Corporation for National and Community Service has awarded a grant of $247,714 to Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters' Foster Grandparent Program. The grant will support 54 senior mentors per year at 24 mentoring sites in Hartford, Bloom- field, East Hartford, New Britain and Middle- town.
