Meagher, smeagher@nebsuinessmedia.com Healy steps down as MassMEP CEO Jack Healy, longtime president of the Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Partnership, stepped down from his role as president and CEO of the organization and moved into a consulting role on July 1. The leadership change has been in the works over the past couple of months, said Healy, 80. MassMEP's center director, John Killam, is tak- ing the reigns as president and CEO. Since he started at MassMEP in 1999, the manufacturing industry has changed completely, Healy said. There has been a big shift away from large, publicly-owned compa- nies towards a greater need for innovation and research and devel- opment on the part of smaller manufacturers. - Laura Finaldi
