Aroostook call center expects to cut 120 jobs A Sitel call center location in Caribou said it anticipates as many as 120 employees could be laid off in July following the loss of a contract with Comcast. "We are working tirelessly to bring in new business to the site to reduce or eliminate the potential reduction in workforce," the company wrote in a notice to the state's Department of Labor, according to the Bangor Daily News. Layoff s at the Memphis, Tenn.- based telemarketing and outsourcing company's Caribou call center loca- tion would happen from July 17-31, according to the BDN. e contract with Philadelphia-based Comcast is set to expire July 21. Although the loss of 120 jobs is more than half of the center's 200-person workforce, the company will continue opera- tions in Caribou, where Sitel has other customers.
