2016 | Doing Business in Connecticut 7 Educated and Productive Workforce I n today's global marketplace, staying competi- tive oen means having the best and brightest working hard at finding the next big inno- vation. anks to a long-time commitment to education from preschool through higher education, Connecticut consistently ranks high in national rankings for its workforce's edu- cational attainment and productivity. In fact, Connecticut's employee productivity is at an all-time high, with output per work more than 31 percent above the national average, according to the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development. Nearly four out of 10 Connecticut residents over the age of 25 has a college degree and more than 16 percent of adults here have an advanced degree. Looking for smart employees?
