One of Con- necticut's most popular programs is called Small Business Express, or EXP for short. It offers companies with less than 100 employees financing to help spur job growth. Startups are also getting support through a Con- necticut Innovations program called CTNext. Launched in October 2012, CTNext offers support for entrepreneurs through networking, workshops and other events. Banks and credit unions in the state also offer another layer of support for businesses in Connecticut, stepping in with funding for more established companies looking to grow.
