The Associated General Contractors of Maine recently handed out the Annual Build Maine Awards to six Maine contractors. Reed & Reed in Woolwich was recognized for its wind power project in Oakfi eld and the new Richmond-Dresden Bridge over the Kennebec; Sargent Corp. in Stillwater won in the Specialty Environmental Category for removal of the Veazie Dam that will allow for easier fi sh passage; Landry/French in Scarborough won the Building Category for the restoration and renovation of the 110- year old Charles E. Moody School at the Good Will Home Historic District in Hinkley; PC Construction in South Burlington, Vt., took fi rst place in the Industrial Category for a major facilities upgrade of three buildings at Bath Iron Works; and Shaw Brothers Construction in Gorham won in the Multimodal Division for improve- ments at the Portland International Marine Terminal. In addition, the orga- nization recognized graduates of the Construction Leadership Institute including Clay Maker and Ryan Nadeau of Cianbro; Clint Bane, Langford and Low; Josh Marceau and James Murphy, Reed & Reed; James Martin, Ray Labbe and Sons; Adam Kapaldo and Jeff Costello of Sargent Corp.; and Adam St. Michel, Shaw Brothers Construction. e Association of Certifi ed Fraud Examiners awarded Zachary Patrick Carleton a Certifi ed Fraud Examiner credential.
