The energy efficiency and renewable energy company will work with the Wolfe County Schools to increase oper- ational efficiency. The upgrades will include LED lighting and water system upgrades as well as complete heating and cooling replacements. The changes are expected to deliver an estimated $150,000 annual savings. The project will have environmental benefits that include cutting electrical usage by 600,000 kwh – equating to the elimination of 1 million miles driven by a passenger vehicle – and an annual water reduction of 800,000 gallons. Harrington to expand behavioral health services Harrington HealthCare System will expand its behavioral health services in the face of the crushing opioid crisis, with Greg Mirhej to take the helm as director of behavioral services. Mirhej will oversee all behavioral health services and develop new pro- grams, including outpatient and inpa- tient dual-diagnosis services in order to address the growing needs of those struggling with addiction and mental illness, according to a release from Harrington. Natick man named small business owner of the year Robert Jacob George – the founder, president and CEO of Natick's StratComm – has been named Massachusetts' small business owner of the year by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Worcester $450K refugee wellness program launched Ascentria Care Alliance will manage a pilot program aimed at enhancing the health and well-being of refugees in Worcester as they transition into the community. The Partnership for Refugee Wellness project from the Worcester organiza- tion will be funded in part by a $456,695 pilot grant from The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts. The program is intended to tackle the health needs of refugees as they arrive in the country by promoting their self-sufficiency, integration and engagement in the community. AG encourages wait and see on mar- ijuana legalization Reiterating her opposition to legalized marijuana during a radio appearance, Attorney General Maura Healey said she believes people should weigh opinions from health professionals as debate con- tinues on a ballot question that would legalize and regulate the adult use of marijuana. "I just say, wait. On the recreational marijuana, wait," Healey said during an interview on WGBH's Boston Public Radio. "Let's see how this continues to play out in these other states."
