The college already received half of the grant with the balance to follow upon renewal of the grant. CBRE|The Boulos Co., a commercial real estate fi rm in Portland, intro- duced a help desk to assist start-up businesses, nonprofi t organizations and for-profi t companies. The service will be staffed by the fi rm's real es- tate professionals. DMM Inc., a transactional print and direct mail solutions provider in Scarborough, installed two Canon OCÉ VarioStream 8000 continuous feed printers. The printers can pro- duce 4 million images per day and up to 120 million letter impressions per month. Land of Treasure, a retailer of handi- crafts and jewelry from Myanmar, opened at 2 Wharf St. in the Old Port in Portland. My Place Teen Center, an after- school program for at-risk youth in Westbrook, announced that it was selected as the benefi ciary of this year's TD Beach to Beacon 10K Road Race in Cape Elizabeth. Pam Allen, founder and creative director of Quince & Co. Inc., a yarn and knitwear design company in Portland, recently sold the major- ity of the business to her son, Ryan FitzGerald. The Maine Technology Institute in Brunswick approved two awards worth $100,000 to FocusMaine from its Cluster Initiative Program for planning and piloting projects sup- porting Maine's food and aquacul- ture clusters. The awards leveraged $128,450 in matching contributions from private donations. James Pound sold his Total Family Dentistry offi ce in Gray to Brian Boynton, who changed the name to Patriot Dental. Purdy Powers and Marshall & Libby announced the two Portland ac- counting fi rms agreed to merge. The combined entity is known as Purdy Powers & Co.
