Talesha Saint- Marc, member of the fi rm's labor and employment and litigation and dispute resolution practices groups, was recog- nized with the Sumner T. Bernstein Pro Bono Award; the Sunshine Committee, a group of staff members who engage in year-round eff orts to raise funds, collect donated goods and raise awareness for the needy in our community, was rec- ognized with the Barnett I. Gene McKeever, vice president and marine insurance specialist at Allen Insurance and Financial in Camden, was honored by Tall Ships America, the nation's leading tall ship and sail training organization, at its annual winter conference. Verrill Dana, a law fi rm in Portland, announced it was named as Benchmark Litigation's State Firm of the Year for Maine. Green Bee Craft Beverages in Brunswick said it was the recipient of the Whole Foods Market's local producer loan program, an award to help small, independent companies grow. Shane Perry of the Maine Public Relations Council recently earned his national accreditation in public relations from the Public Relations Society of America. Perry is the lead commu- nication specialist at Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems in Brewer. e Portland Water District's Industrial Pretreatment Program was recently honored with a 2015 Regional Industrial Pretreatment Program Excellence Award by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's New England regional offi ce.
