Mark St.Germain was appointed to Maine's Economic Growth Council, a non-partisan panel that develops long-range economic indicators for the state. The First Bancorp Inc., and its banking subsidiary The First NA in Damariscotta, announced that Renee Kelly was elected to serve as a director for the bank and the company. Kelly is the director of economic development initiatives for the University of Maine. The Portland Chamber Music Festival announced Laura Cyr, Darya Haag, Philip Hamilton and Glenn Israel were elected to its board of directors. Cyr is a post- graduate fellow with the vice chancel- lor's offi ce at the University of Maine System, Haag is an attorney at Norman, Hanson & DeTroy, Hamilton is manag- ing director of Insight Capital Research & Management Inc. and Israel is a share- holder at Bernstein Shur. In addition, Frank Douglass, treasury director at WEX Inc., was elected board president; Jessica Smart, director of mission investment at Goodwill Industries of Northern New England, vice president; Richard Kraut, retired, second vice president; Douglas Chene, associate professor of accounting at Salem State University, treasurer; and Laura Miller, marketing director of cPort Credit Union, secretary. Friends of Casco Bay in South Portland elected Jim Dusch, Peter Dufour, Patricia Ianni and Peter LeBourdais to its board of directors. Dusch is deputy executive director of the Maine Public Employees Retirement System, Dufour is co- founded Dufour Tax Group LLC, Ianni is an environmental risk offi cer at TD Bank and LeBourdais is owner and president of Brunswick Dental Health Associates.
