If the off ering goes through, the value of the com- pany could be as high as $2.5 billion. Bath hardware store has new owner A Bath hardware store has been sold to a family-owned hardware com- pany with locations in four other New England states. Rogers Ace Hardware, which dates to 1872 and has operated out of 55 Congress Ave. since 1985, was acquired by Springfi eld, Mass.-based Rocky's Ace Hardware owners Rocco, Donna and son Johnny Falcone. e seller was owner-and-operator John Hichborn, according to e Portland Press Herald. Elsewhere, Rocky's Ace Hardware has stores in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Rail link added to intermodal network Pan Am Railways inaugurated the expanded container terminal at the Port of Portland with the shipment by train of 15 containers of Poland Spring bottled water, the Kennebec Journal reported. e terminal was modernized and the rail was extended by 1,500 feet, thanks to a $29 million investment of state and federal money. Pan Am trains will carry containers delivered by both truck and by ship. Pan Am Railways is North America's largest regional railroad sys- tem, with routes stretching from Saint John and St. Leonard, New Brunswick, to Rotterdam Junction, N.Y., and Derby, Conn. e railway link is part of a larger working waterfront that includes the International Marine Terminal and facilities operated by the Icelandic shipping company Eimskip.
