Economic Survey
H
artford Business Journal readers are not overly optimistic about 2016, with 61 percent
saying Connecticut's economy will decline slightly or remain the same next year.
About 50 percent of readers say they don't plan to hire in 2016. An even great-
er percentage of readers say they won't raise capital next year.
Those were some of the major findings in Hartford Business Journal's 2016
economic outlook survey, which is featured in the next few pages.
The survey was emailed to more than 11,000 HBJ Today subscribers. The unscientific
results were gathered over a three-week period in November and garnered 266 respon-
dents. The survey provides a window into how the region's economy may perform in 2016.
