FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES The Travelers Championship donates 100 percent of its net proceeds to charities throughout New England. In addition to hosting some of the world's best golfers, including Bubba Watson, Sergio Garcia, Zach Johnson, Ernie Els, Luke Donald and Hunter Mahan, the tournament creates special events to help generate charitable funds such as a 5K race, Celebrity Pro-Am, Women's Day, concerts and more. Charities are encouraged to use the tournament as a method for raising money and awareness by hosting a special event on site or participating in the Birdies for Charity and Chip in for Charity programs. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Every year, more than 4,000 people donate their time as volunteers at the Travelers Championship. Volunteers spend countless hours throughout the week to help deliver a world-class PGA TOUR experience for players, sponsors, fans and the media. Corporations, community groups and individuals are all encouraged to take part in more than 20 different volunteer opportunities, ranging from Hospitality to Scoring at the 2016 Travelers Championship.
