Moore's vision for healthcare delivery is in line with the new vision for healthcare across the country: In short, com- munity-based care is king. By beefing up Southbridge-based Harrington's services, focusing on quality ratings, aggressively recruiting doctors and revamping the former Hubbard Hospital in Webster with a new emer- gency department, and soon, a new inpatient behavioral health unit, Moore has made compre- hensive local care a reality in the region since his arrival in 2007. This is important as public transit is limited in Southbridge, making the trip to Worcester for care is difficult for many. Moore has played a key role in hospital advo- cacy on the statewide level, finishing a three-year term on the Massachusetts Hospital Association Board of Trustees in June 2014. — Emily Micucci Title: President & CEO Company: Harrington HealthCare Location: Southbridge Edward Moore A s if running the largest nonprof- it in Central Massachusetts wasn't enough for him, if you blink too long, David Jordan will likely have acquired a new role in the community, shaping the region with some new responsibilities. The Seven Hills Foundation president and CEO has served in the role since 1995, managing more than 160 locations, 3,600 professional and support staff, and an annual operating budget of $165 mil- lion. In addition to that day job, Jordan finds time to teach at Clark University and sit on the board at Becker College, where he recently became the school's first Professor of Practice in Social Innovation. Jordan holds continuing influence in the com- munity, not only through Seven Hills but the young minds he molds and the sway he has in all the organizations he works with. – Sam Bonacci Title: President & CEO Company: Seven Hills Foundation Location: Worcester David Jordan R alph Crowley Jr. is not only the pres- ident and CEO of Worcester's most visible company, the $450-mil- lion Polar Beverages, but he is also a true believer in the city. The Crowley empire also includes ownership of the highly successful Wachusett Mountain Ski Area in Princeton, run by Ralph's brothers David and Jeff Crowley along with sister Caroline Crowley Stimpson. Ralph Crowley is among that rarified level of executives in the city who not only knows every- one in the game but is still actively playing his own hand while helping others with theirs. – Sam Bonacci Title: President & CEO Company: Polar Beverages Location: Worcester Ralph Crowley Jr.
