Saddleback ski resort still silent on whether it will open this winter Weeks before ski season, the future of Saddleback Maine ski resort is still uncertain. Since saying in October it was in negotiations for a deal, the Rangeley ski resort has remained silent. Boston.com reported Nov. 19 that the ski resort wasn't at the annual Ski and Snowboard Expo in Boston in mid-November. When asked for an update, a ski resort offi cial declined to reveal any details, the site reported. "As soon as we have something, you'll get what you need," Chris Farmer, Saddleback's general manager, told Boston.com. e future of the ski resort has been in doubt since its owners said in July that the mountain wouldn't open for the upcoming season without $3 million in funding for a new cen- tral ski lift. It's been on the market since 2012, when its owners listed the property for $12 million.
