TRAINING RESOURCES "The Entrepreneurial Center has been like attending four years of business school wrapped into about nine months. Yes, it has been very, very difficult for me at times, but essential given my predominantly arts-related background. Attending the classes has me able to speak an entirely new language; doing a presentation about my business in the last Foundations of Business Planning class was one of my proudest accomplishments. The center, my advisor, and the Hartford program helped me step out of myself and see what I do in a whole new way." —Gary Jacobs, Owner, SolArt LLC 1968 Hartford College for Women (HCW) establishes first Career Counseling Center for Women in Connecticut. 1985 HCW debuts the Entrepreneurial Center's training program. 1991 HCW merges with the University of Hartford. 1999 Women's Business Center opens at the center. 2011 First CT Business Matchmaker event is held. 2013 The center becomes part of the Barney School of Business. 2015 The center celebrates a milestone, serving over 1,000 individuals and over 500 businesses a year.
