Prior to joining the firm, she was the sole owner and broker of Ria K. McNamara Inc. since September 1997. Her experience in retail real estate started in 1983 at the Flatley Co. as a leasing representative for the company. She was also a member of the retail team at Hunneman Commercial Brokerage, followed by The Dartmouth Company of Boston. DR. PHILLIP LAHEY IV has joined the clinical team at Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center, as specialty medical director of the orthopedics program. He was formerly with Worcester County Orthopedics. Lahey is also a team physician for the College of the Holy Cross Athletics in Worcester. JESSICA HAGGETT, MOLLY BURNS and CLARIBETTE DEL ROSARIO were hired by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass/MetroWest. Haggett was hired as the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) institute director, a new position for the agency. She is a graduate of Tufts University in Medford, with a bachelor's degree in biology and music. Haggett was formerly associate editor of engineering at JoVe in Cambridge. Burns is an interview and match support specialist. She earned a dual bachelor's degree in Spanish and international development and social change from Clark University in Worcester. Del Rosario joined the Big Brothers Big Sisters team as a Highland Street ambassador of mentoring through Mass Mentoring Partnership, as an interview/match support specialist. She has bachelor's degrees in history and chemistry from the University of San Francisco in California. Also at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass/MetroWest, CHRISTINA FLEURY and JACKIE LYON were promoted. Fleury is the Worcester- area colleges mentoring program coordinator, a newly created position to form a network of college mentoring initiatives. She began her career with the agency in 2014, as a part-time interview and match specialist for site-based mentoring programs. Formerly a high school English teacher in Waco, Texas, she has a degree in English from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester. Lyon is the new marketing and special events manager, formerly a part-time interview and match support specialist for the site-based programs affiliated with Clark University in Worcester. She has a bachelor's degree in sociology and a master's degree in community development and planning from Clark. MARVIN S. SILVER and BARBARA BANCROFT have joined Worcester law firm Christopher, Hays, Wojcik & Mavricos. Silver, a partner, concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning and administration, probate, elder law and business law. Silver will head up the firm's new Westborough office at 45 Lyman St. Bancroft will work as a paralegal in the new Westborough office. Barbara was formerly a paralegal at Bowditch & Dewey and Seder & Chandler in Worcester. BRIAN TANKERSLEY and DUSTIN WIRZBURGER were promoted by Security First Mortgage Funding of Worcester. Tankersley is now sales support manager. Tankersly started as a loan assistant and has worked as the direct assistant to the president of the company, Richard McNally, for many years in all areas of the business, such as new loan origination. Wirzburger, with Security First since 2013, is now operations manager. In the mortgage industry for more than five years, Wirzburger started in 2010 with a national title insurance company, where he oversaw one of six satellite offices. JENNIFER SMITH was hired as chief marketing officer at Globoforce of Southborough, an employee recognition and rewards firm. She most recently served as senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Avid Technology in Burlington. Previously, Smith was senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Progress Software. DR. MATILDE "MATTIE" CASTIEL was named the new commissioner of health and human services for the City of Worcester. She is board- certified in internal medicine and has been medical director to a large municipal emergency management system, an emergency room attending physician, primary care physician, urgent care physician and physician to an elderly outreach program. Castiel was most recently the founder, executive director and medical director of Latin American Health Alliance, a collaboration dedicated to combating homelessness and drug addiction. She is also the founder of the Hector Reyes House and Casa Reyes, a substance abuse treatment facility and transitional house for Hispanic males in Worcester. In 2014, Castiel opened Café Reyes, an innovative jobs training program in which residents at Hector Reyes House and Casa Reyes run a Shrewsbury Street restaurant. She has a bachelor's degree in cellular and molecular biology from Cal State- Northridge, in California She earned her medical degree from the University of California-San Francisco. SANDRA S. SAGEHORN-ELLIOTT was named chief operating officer and executive vice president — a newly created position — at Workers' Credit Union in Fitchburg. She was previously senior vice president and chief operating officer with Bellco Credit Union, based in Greenwood Village, Colo. Sagehorn-Elliott, a resident of Groton, has a bachelor's degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Neb. Also at Workers', JEFF TURCOTTE was promoted to vice president of commercial lending. A resident of Fitchburg, he joined the credit union as an assistant vice president in 2011. Turcotte has a bachelor's degree and an MBA, both from Fitchburg State University. TONI DELUCA was hired as wine director at Julio's Liquors in Westborough. She worked for the U.S. Department of Justice before switching careers and working as a cellar worker and harvest assistant at wineries in France, New Zealand and Sonoma, Calif. A certified sommelier, DeLuca is a graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. VINCENT STRULLY was sworn in as a member of the Massachusetts Autism Foundation. He is the founder and CEO of the New England Center for Children (NECC) in Southborough. He was sworn in on Sept. 17 at the Massachusetts State House. Strully has a bachelor's degree in political science and government from Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y. JOHN BIANCHI was hired as a project superintendent by JM Coull Inc. of Maynard. A certified electrician, he previously worked at Sodexo as a senior project manager; at Aerotek as a project manager and construction superintendent; and as a construction project manager and construction supervisor at Amps Electrical Inc. LINDA T. CAMMUSO and MELISSA MARANDA were elected to the Montachusett Estate and Retirement Planning Council. Cammuso will serve as president, and Maranda as vice president. Cammuso, of Hubbardston, is a partner with Estate Preservation Law Offices in Worcester. Maranda is senior vice president of Rollstone Bank & Trust's Wealth Management Division in Leominster. She is a resident of Fitchburg. TYLER-ANNE ADORNO, CHRISTOPHER A. AGUILAR, AMY Y. SALTER and KEVIN G. MCCONNELL were hired by accounting firm Robert C. Alario CPA, with offices in Worcester and Leominster. Adorno and Aguilar were named staff accountants. Both have bachelor's degrees in business administration from Fitchburg State University. Adorno is from Worcester, and Aguilar lives in Fitchburg. Salter, of Winchendon, is a senior trust and estate accountant. She was previously with Fletcher Tilton PC in Worcester. She is a graduate of Fitchburg State University. McConnell was named tax manager. He was previously with Marcum LLP in Needham.
