Free for families, the Center's age-specific peer support groups are available weekly in Cumberland and York counties with Center training, information and crisis response available to schools, workplaces and other organizations. SERVICE LOCATION(S) The Center provides direct service throughout Southern Maine and is a recognized statewide and national resource for the support of grieving children and their families. Service sites: 555 Forest Ave. Portland, ME 04101 893 Main St. Sanford, ME 04073 2016 GOALS Goal 1: Provide and maintain high-quality, direct-service grief-support pro- grams, with demonstrated outcomes, for children and their families. Goal 2: Support the southern Maine community—in schools, workplaces and agen- cies—through crisis response and loss- and grief-related information and training. Goal 3: Increase awareness, use and volunteerism as part of our direct service in York County, which the Center has offered successfully since 2011. Goal 4: Capitalize on new opportunities for our program supporting the loss and grief needs of elementary, middle and high school students resettled locally from war-torn countries. Goal 5: Meaningfully recognize the volunteers, donors and business sponsors who make possible the Center's free service to families and our work through- out the community. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES Event sponsorships are available from $1,500 to $25,000 that provide great visibility benefits and volunteer opportunities for your employees. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES At any time of the year, gifts to the Center keep our services free for children and their families when they are confronting some of the most difficult losses, changes and challenges imaginable.
