The bank will donate one dollar for each item donated, up to $3,500, for area food pantry operations. Athol Hospital's Golf Classic in August raised $24,000 for an emergency department upgrade which will expand the number of treatment rooms and provide more spacious, private patient accommodations. Construction gets underway this fall. Southbridge-based Harrington Physician Services donated 13 backpacks and a box of supplies to Webster, Spencer and Southbridge school districts.
