Vision: All youth will have the academic, job readiness and life skills necessary to lead independent adult lives filled with stewardship, courage, passion and joy. About us: My Place Teen Center (MPTC) is a year round, free, out of school time program for youth, ages 10–18. Specializing in youth most at risk including homeless, food insecure, cognitively-delayed, low-income, immigrant and refugee teens, MPTC offers a multi-purpose, academically enriching, life-skills enhancing, hunger relief, youth development program that has been the focal point of greater Portland's teen activities since its inception in 1998. SERVICE LOCATION(S) Cumberland and York counties My Place Teen Center 2016 GOALS FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES f Annual Fund a Kid Celebration and Awards Ceremony – purchase table tickets and provide corporate sponsorships f Annual Red Door 5k – runners/course marshals/sponsorships f Annual appeal – November giving platform GIVING OPPORTUNITIES We are excited to introduce The500CLUB, a fun and innovative club providing sustainable, fi nancial support for My Place Teen Center and kids considered most at risk, as well as an annual networking opportunity for like-minded busi- ness professionals. f Why is it called The500CLUB?: My Place Teen Center serves 500+ kids each year; that's 500 reasons to give. f The500CLUB's objectives: to raise funds and awareness about My Place Teen Center. f What is The500CLUB?: a cool and fun club consisting of a diverse group of people who want to help kids-at-risk in Cumberland and York counties by lending their fi nancial support. f The500CLUB member responsibilities: members will be asked to consider making a recurring annual gift of $960 to My Place Teen Center to Fund- A-Kid for one year. You can fund as many kids as you wish. Payments can be made annually, quarterly or monthly. Credit cards are accepted and payroll deductions at certain locations. e Fund-A-Kid program provides meals and services to kids-at-risk. e national average cost for these services ranges from $1,500-$2,500. By carefully monitoring resources and running an effi cient operation, MPTC provides kids with daily meals, snacks and programs at an annual cost of $960 per kid, or $80 per month. We want to grow the program to ensure all of the MPTC kids are funded on a perpetual basis to ensure that operations and programming continue without interruption.
