Our mission is to enrich the quality of community and personal life in Maine by strengthening the leadership, voice and organizational effectiveness of our state's nonprofits. SERVICE LOCATION(S) Statewide Maine Association of Nonprofi ts 2016 GOALS Advancing: MANP will engage our nonprofi t membership in advocating for the nonprofi t sector and identifying and achieving shared goals. MANP will be a strong voice for the sector, defending and promoting the sector's impact in Maine. We will establish a framework for engaging stakeholders in developing and pursuing shared, proactive public policy agendas. Connecting: MANP will connect nonprofi t staff and volunteers with resources and ideas that increase the effi ciency and eff ectiveness of Maine's nonprofi t sector. We will continue to off er critical board training programs and pilot new board development off erings to meet needs identifi ed by our membership. MANP will convene nonprofi t leaders to discuss critical issues facing the sector and will develop services to meet the needs of organizations facing leadership transition. Strengthening: MANP will foster a highly-skilled and well-governed sector. We will provide our nonprofi t staff and volunteers with high-quality trainings, resources and tools that will enhance the recruitment, retention and profes- sional development of their employees. MANP will enhance our off erings by defi ning core programs, piloting new delivery models, increasing online content and assisting organizations to develop existing and emerging leaders. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES MANP provides several opportunities to sponsor events or publications, as well as limited spots to exhibit at events which attract key nonprofi t, business and governmental decision makers. Upcoming events include our Annual Nonprofi t Day at the Statehouse 2016, our Board Boot Camps and Executive Leadership Forums. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES A businesses or individual may join MANP as a "Friend of MANP" at levels ranging from $100 to $5,000 per year. MANP also works with business part- ners who are willing to provide discounted or free services to our members in exchange for becoming a "Friend of MANP." MANP's friends and sponsors enjoy valuable marketing exposure and networking opportunities, while sup- porting programs and services that help our state's mission-focused organiza- tions operate more eff ectively. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES MANP's many professional development programs, which include SkillBuilders, Board Boot Camps and the Nonprofi t Finance Conference, are taught by volunteer content experts from all around the state. As a result, MANP is always looking to expand its current roster of subject matter experts to provide training on topics of interest to nonprofi t leaders. In addition, we also appreciate any pro bono assistance from businesses willing to donate their time and expertise in answering nonprofi t management questions that come through our Nonprofi t Help Desk.
