WEALTH MANAGEMENT TO REALIZE YOUR VISION GARDNER — Students enrolled in the liberal arts and science program at Mount Wachusett Community College (MWCC) will be able to pur- sue bachelor's degrees in the same dis- cipline at Clark University under a transfer agreement between the two schools, the community college announced. Eligible students will also be considered for the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, the Transfer Achievement Scholarship, the Clark University Scholarship, and the Jonas Clark Transfer Scholarship. WORCESTER — Glickman, Kovago & Jacobs of Worcester has joined NAI Global, a network of owner-operated commercial real estate brokerage firms. Jay Olshonsky, president of NAI Global, said in a statement that NAI selected the commercial real estate firm to represent it in Worcester "because of the team's deep local market knowledge, track record and ability to drive business., Glickman Kovago's Peter Kovago said in the statement. SHREWSBURY — A mixed-use build- ing at 307 Grafton St. in Shrewsbury has been purchased by CS Holdings LLC for $2.4 million. The building houses office and retail space, according to a statement from Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates of Worcester, which repre- sented the seller, Kalamat LLC. The 10,300-square-foot building was con- structed 10 years ago. It was fully leased at the time of the sale, the statement said. Tenants include Café Noir, Salon Sogno, Piel Skin Boutique and Modern Dentistry of Shrewsbury. WORCESTER — The Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) promoted Janet A. Pierce to executive director, the organization announced. She is its fourth director since its founding 52 years ago. Pierce joined CMRPC as business manager in 2008, and in 2012, spearheaded CMRPC's Regional Services Division, formed in response to the increasing fiscal challenges faced by towns and cities. Based at Union Station, CMRPC is the regional plan- ning entity for Central Massachusetts, serving Worcester and 39 other area communities. WORCESTER — Two groups of scien- tists at the University of Massachusetts Medical School have each received $1 million in grant money raised during last summer's viral Ice Bucket Challenge campaign. The funds will support ALS research projects that the school's chancellor called "pivotal work." Ames, of Harvard, has been named the seventh executive director and CEO of Perkins, the human services agency that includes the Doctor Franklin Perkins School. His previous human services work includes direct service, supervisory and adminis- trative positions at Crittenton Women's Union, the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, and the Key Program, according to a statement from Perkins' board of trust- ees. Perkins serves children and adoles- cents with emotional and behavioral challenges at the school; and serves developing infants, toddlers, and pre- schoolers in the Perkins Child Development Center.
