The event is hosted by Gene Lavanchy of Fox 25 News and Steve Nelson, former New England Patriot and features free entertainment, food and drinks, children and family activities and much more. The 2015 event grossed $208,000. The 2015 Walk Run had 221 volunteers serving 742 hours for a value of $20,034. American Heart Association HEART WALK May 7, 2016, DCR's Quinsigamond State Park, Lake Park The Central MA Heart Walk celebrates the year- round wellness initiatives in the community. Community partners host activity and information tents as part of an expo for the walkers before the stage program and survivor Red Cap Wave.
