Volunteer opportunities include such activities as assisting with the planning and organization of special events, mentoring or tutoring youth in our college access or residential programs, offering specialized programs, such as money management or healthy cooking to the parents in our Teen Parent program, completing small one-day projects in our Residential programs (e.g. painting or general landscaping) and soliciting donations for our annual Adopt-a-Child program, which provides gifts to hundreds of youngsters in need during the holiday season. Promote safety, stability, education and opportunity for every child and family in our care. Fundraising Events/Opportunities Y.O.U. Ball - Gala for Kids (November 2015) The Gala for Kids draws more than 350 guests, including many leaders of Worcester's business and civic communities, and offers outstanding sponsor visibility before and during the event. The Gala includes both live and silent auctions, for which donations are gratefully accepted, as well as a formal dinner, live music and entertainment. SkiFest (December – March) Our annual SkiFest includes the winter-long sale of discounted lift tickets via our website and other social media outlets, capped off by a fun day of skiing at Wachusett for the youth in our programs. Corporate sponsorship opportunities for the event include print and radio media exposure. Volunteer Opportunities Giving Opportunities Individual donations, foundation grants and corporate sponsorships are vital to the success of our programs. Corporate Impact Program: Throughout the year, investors in our Corporate Impact Program enjoy significant visibility and sponsor benefits, including signage at special events, and website and social media exposure. Annual Appeal Our agency maintains an Annual Fund and reaches out to donors at several intervals during each fiscal year. In-Kind Donations We welcome in-kind donations of goods and services for raffles and silent auctions at most events. Adopt-a-Child Each December a dedicated group of Y.O.U., Inc. staff members solicits and collects holiday gifts and monetary donations for as many as 1,000 youth in our care. Planned Giving Our Greenwood Society honors those individuals who have named Y.O.U., Inc. as the beneficiary of a planned gift.
