Kennedy Community Health Center Future Goals As a community health center, Kennedy CHC has always provided comprehensive care to its patients, who are at disparate risk for chronic disease and poor health outcomes. As a federally qualified community health center, it is always struggling with cost of care versus reimbursement practices. As such, the organization needs the support of businesses, community leaders and others as it strives to provide medical and dental services to the area's most vulnerable populations, thus unburdening the financial and physical constraints of our current medical delivery system. Without Kennedy CHC, 28,000 patients a year would have little or no access to primary care; their health and well-being impacts the quality of life in Central Massachusetts. To move this agenda forward, six major goals highlight the organization's strategic path for the next five years: Strong Financial Performance; Best in Class Clinical Care; Expand our Reach; Operational Excellence; Employer of Choice; and Innovative Technology. Short-term goals focus on regional expansion to meet the ever-increasing demand for acces- sible health care. Fundraising Events/Opportunities The Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center will be launching its first Annual Awards Event in the fall of 2015 to present The Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Award to an individual and an organization who make an impact on the health of our community. Support for the event can be made through sponsorships and attendance to help recognize the significant achievements of our colleagues. For more information contact Paula Green, Vice President, Advancement at paula.green@kennedychc.org Volunteer Opportunities Volunteers are always welcome at Kennedy CHC. Help is needed in our administrative areas, as well as in assisting in keeping our facilities fresh and up-to-date for our patients. Volunteers can give us as much time as they have available and we always strive to find the best fit so that they feel valued and that their time is well-spent. Giving Opportunities Kennedy CHC continues to implement its strategic philanthropic plan that has already begun to raise the visibility of and recognition for the tremendous impact the organization makes in the over 84 communities it serves.
