MetroWest495 Biz | August 2015 7 Holliston research firm finds a West-Coast home Clinical research company Veristat of Holliston has opened a new off ice in the Bay Area that will house the company's West Coast operations, it announced. Veristat, which is expected to move its headquarters to Southborough later this year, said the new off ice, in San Bruno, Calif., will provide a full range of clinical services to clients that are developing therapies in all areas of biotechnol- ogy, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics and medical devices. TJX reports quarterly dividends, higher earnings projections The TJX Cos. of Framingham will pay out a quarterly stock dividend of 21 cents per share, the parent company of off-price retailers T.J. Maxx, HomeGoods and Marshalls announced. The action comes less than a month after TJX said strong customer traff ic in the f irst quarter of its new f iscal year led to an 8-percent jump in prof its, to $475 million, or 69 cents per share, over the same quarter last year. TJX said net sales for the quarter, which ended May 2, rose 6 percent to $6.9 billion, and consolidated comparable store sales rose 5 percent. TJX also raised its expectations for the rest of the f iscal cycle, which will end Jan. 30, 2016. It now expects earnings per share in the range of $3.21 to $3.27; it had previ - ously projected $3.17 to $3.25. IBM partners with Southborough firm Fortune-50 tech giant IBM has selected Globoforce as a partner for its Smarter Workforce ecosystem, Globoforce announced. Globoforce is co-headquartered in Southborough and in Dublin, Ireland. The partner- ship includes sales and marketing efforts, solution integration, and future developments within IBM's Smarter Workforce partner ecosystem. Marlborough mall sold to developer The Shops at the Pond, a strip mall adjacent to Solomon Pond Mall, has been sold to a real estate developer. The 104,125-square-foot shopping center was sold for $21.1 million to RK Centers, based in Massachusetts and Florida, according to CBRE New Eng- land, which represented the property's sellers, Kimco Realty Corp. The center is fully leased to a mix of nationally recognized tenants that include DSW, Best Buy, EMS and Olive Garden, according to CBRE, and is also occu- pied by Pure Hockey's flagship store.
