Verrill Dana, a law fi rm in Portland, was identifi ed as the 11th best law fi rm for female attorneys, according to the 2015 Glass Ceiling Report by Law. e fi rm was also recognized in the report for surpassing the national average for percentage of females in its partnership by 14%. Dunn Furniture in Houlton was recog- nized by La-Z-Boy Inc. for outstand- ing sales performance in 2014 for the northeastern U.S. region. e Fifty Best, an online guide to fi ne living, announced that Back River Gin was awarded a Double Gold medal at a gin tasting in New York City . e gin is brewed by Sweetgrass Farm Winery & Distillery in Union. e Huffi ngton Post and rillist named Funtown Splashtown USA in Saco as one of the best amusement parks in the United States. Juanita Bean Smith and Bradford Smith, agents with Coldwell Banker Sandy River Realty in Farmington, were recognized as the No. 1 team in Maine in 2014 for independently owned and operated affi liated companies.
