Higgins Award for Distinguished Service to the school. Gray, a former faculty member and senior wealth strategist for the Gray Group at UBS Financial Services, won the Robert W. Stoddard Award for Outstanding Community Service. Ashley Newhall, senior experience manager at American Girl Boston Natick, is the winner of the first MetroWest Hospitality Award by the Regional Tourism Councils of Massachusetts. She is a resident of Ashland. The award was given to Newhall for her cooperative efforts with nonprofit organizations. EMSEAL Joint Systems of Westborough, Ace Medical Services of Worcester, H&S Environmental of Westborough, BioSurfaces Inc. of Ashland, and SnapChef Culinary Training and Staffing, with offices in Shrewsbury, were all honored by the Massachusetts Small Business Administration. EMSEAL, which makes expansion joints and pre- compressed sealants, won for Small Business Exporter of the Year. Home health care agency Ace Medical won the Minority Small Business Owner of the Year award. H&S is Woman-Owned Small Business Owner of the Year; and medical device maker BioSurfaces is Microenterprise of the Year. Todd Snopkowski of Holden, founder and president of SnapChef, was named Small Business Person of the Year.
