Julio's Liquors of Westborough donated $5,000 for Shriners Hospitals for
Children through its annual Go Whisk(e)y Festival. The liquor store
matched all donations made during the event.
Central One Federal Credit Union in Shrewsbury hosted a financial
literacy program, Road to Financial Independence, for some high school
students.
Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts was part of
an effort to award 14 grants in 13 communities, including
Boys & Girls Club of Lunenburg ($7,500).

Worcester-based Bay State Savings Bank donated $4,000 to Edward Street Child

POWER OF GENEROSITY
Electric utility company TransCanada, with offices in Westborough, gave a $15,000
grant to the Massachusetts Good Neighbor Energy Fund. The money will help
residents who need assistance with energy bills but don't qualify for other aidssistance.
