E nterprise Cleaning Corp. has become syn- onymous with excellence in cleaning ser- vices in the Central Massachusetts area. Founded in 2003, the company has made a name in the industry, thanks to its quality standards, highly trained workforce and specialized customer service. During the last eleven years, Enterprise has refined its business structure to better serve customers, while still maintaining its philosophy of making sure every job is "Enterprise Clean." In 2013, Enterprise relocated its headquarters to Main Street in nearby Boylston to accommodate the growing business. The 5,000 square-foot facility houses the com - pany's managers and provides critical warehouse space. Buchalter points out that every account, regardless of size, receives individual - ized attention that considers the customer's schedule, budget and cleaning needs. And this year the customer list continues to grow. "We are off to record sales in 2014," says Stephen Buchalter, President & CEO. "We began a restructuring and things are paying off." Most recently, Enterprise Cleaning signed a $100,000 contract for the post-construction cleanup at the Great Wolf Lodge in Fitchburg, a state-of-the-art, entertain - ment venue that includes 406 guest rooms and suites, a water park, mini-golf, ropes course and several other attractions. "We are very excited to be awarded this proj- ect," Buchalter says. Enterprise is able to offer the best cleaning services in the area due to its staffing business model. Instead of receiving hourly wages, most technicians work on salary, which provides incentive to work more conscientiously with better outcomes for the customer. All staff have spe - cialized skills that match the location and type of space they are cleaning. For instance, employees assigned to clean a medical office will have skills specific to that envi- ronment, while those working in a manufacturing facility will receive training better suited to that setting. Enterprise is rolling out a new state-of-the-art computerized time and attendance system to help better manage their staff. As the company expands its service menu and adds accounts, Enterprise is also increasing staffing levels. To provide the first-class service that customers have come to expect, the company continually trains and hires tech - nicians, who exemplify Enterprise's customer-centric philosophy. This year the company has brought on board a specialist who will spearhead a special projects division, which will focus on stripping and refinishing floors and shampooing carpeting. In addition to first-class cleaning services, Enterprise believes in giving back to the community. From its incep - tion, Enterprise Cleaning has supported local businesses and several non-profit organizations. "As we continue to grow, we never lose sight of the importance of giving back," says Buchalter, who sits on the board of the March of Dimes and has chaired the March For Babies. He is also an active participant on several committees at the American Red Cross and is a board member at Y.O.U., Inc. He has donated to local schools, the Worcester Sharks and The Hanover Theatre project. He also serves on the committee for The Hanover Theatre. Buchalter encourages his staff to become involved in philanthropic community activities as well. For the last seven years, he has assembled a team that participates in the annual March of Dimes Walk for Babies. While customers often express their satisfaction pri - vately for a job well done, the general public gave kudos to Enterprise Cleaning when it chose the company win- ner of the Worcester Business Journal's Best of Cleaning Services Award for 2014 and 2015.
