MARLBOROUGH — A retail build- ing on Bolton Street in Marlborough that houses a Rite Aid pharmacy has been sold for $4.15 million, according to the firm that brokered the deal. Parsons Commercial Group (PCG) said the building, at 75 Bolton St. extension, was sold by Yorkshire Realty Trust to Arak LLC. The 13,000-square- foot building is fully leased to Rite Aid. MARLB OROUGH — Oxford Immunotec has developed a laborato- ry test that measures a patient's immu- nity to cytomegalovirus (CMV), a her- pes virus. The medical diagnostics company — which has dual headquar- ters in Marlborough and England — said in a statement that its T-SPOT. CMV test is available in the U.S. sooner than expected, although approvals are pending in California, Florida and New York. It's a laboratory-developed test that evaluates T cell response to CMV-specific antigens, and will be performed at Oxford Diagnostic Laboratories in Memphis. WORCESTER — St. Vincent Hospital is reviewing an application from a group of more than 200 hospital tech- nicians to unionize. The employees have applied to the National Labor Relations Board to join Teamsters Local 170 in Worcester. Teresa Prego, chief marketing executive at the hospi- tal, said in an email that the hospital has received the application and is reviewing it. Michael P. Hogan, secre- tary-treasurer and principal officer of the Teamsters Local 170, said in a tele- phone interview that about 225 hospi- tal technicians are seeking to unionize. HOLDEN — The Obama administra- tion has secured nearly $4,000 for a retirement plan at a former Holden firm from a federal court. According to a statement from the Labor Department, a Simple IRA plan at Holden Sand and Gravel was estab- lished in 2005 to provide retirement benefits for employees. The plan was managed by Joseph Montalto, presi- dent, treasurer, and owner of the com- pany. An investigation by the Employee Benefits Security Administration found that the company and Montalto violated their fiduciary responsibilities in connection with the IRA. Specifically, the government charged that Montalto stopped forwarding employee contri- butions to the plan, and the company failed to forward $3,900 in withheld employee contributions to the plan.
