Fidelity Bank of Leominster donated $296,388 to more than 150 community organizations, events and causes in Central Massachusetts during 2014, up from $250,000 in 2013. Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts, based in Leominster, donated $55,000 to the community's Spanish-American Center to provide hot meals for families living in hotels. SENIOR SUPPORT MutualOne Bank in Framingham donated $3,500 to Natick Community-Senior Center, the result of the bank's recent Checking for Charity campaign. BLANKET STATEMENT Digital Federal Credit Union was among 23 Massachusetts credit unions that held a blanket drive this winter, along with the Cooperative Credit Union Association. In all, 663 blankets were donated to the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless. PHOTO FINISH GREAT STORIES START HERE North Central Massachusetts Literacy Fund donated $2,500 to a United Way of North Central Massachusetts reading initiative for children, The Dolly Parton Imagination Library. The effort provides about 2,000 free books per month to area children. The fund is a partnership between United Way, the Sentinel and Enterprise and Unitil.
