Makor, a registered nurse with Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, has been named a Tenet Hero by Tenet Healthcare, the hospital's parent company. This month, Makor travels to Liberia with a UMass Memorial Medical Center team to care for Ebola patients. A native of Liberia, Makor has set up local education panels and raised $12,000 for critical supplies to help fight the disease. Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center of Worcester received NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home Recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance. The NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home is a model of primary care that combines teamwork and information technology to improve care, improve patients' experiences, and reduce costs. Several employees of SpencerBANK have been honored with Length of Service Awards: Lynne Esposito, 30 years; Donna Tibbetts and Angela Parker, 20 years; Marcella Mosio and Rachel Woods, 15 years; Lynne Dillon, Jennifer Anderson and Stephen Sanborn, 10 years; Dawn-Marie Evans, Lisa Romano, Amanda Lemerise, Jessica Brier, Douglas Schmeling, Randal Webber, James Reid and Philip Zoppo, 5 years. Daniel Girard Jr. has qualified for the "Top of the Table" of the Million Dollar Round Table by The Premier Association of Financial Professionals. Girard is president and founder of Girard Financial Group of Millbury. Johnstone Supply, a heating, cooling, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration cooperative wholesale distributor with a store in Worcester, is celebrating 20 years in business this month. Supercuts at Westborough Shopping Center, owned by franchisee David Habas, is celebrating 10 years in business this year. Southbridge-based Harrington HealthCare System was recognized by the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission for accomplishments regarding the Community Hospital Acceleration, Revitalization and Transformation Investment Program. The program's goal is to enhance delivery of care. As part of Phase One, Harrington HealthCare was awarded $491,600 for redesign of its behavioral health system. The DAVIS Cos., a national staffing firm based in Marlborough, won Inavero's Best of Staffing Client & Talent Award. Inavero provides service-based research for staffing agencies. Clinton Hospital, part of UMass Memorial Health Care, achieved ISO certification, the first hospital in Massachusetts to earn the quality management system accreditation. Virtusa Corp. of Westborough, a business consulting and IT outsourcing company, was recognized for the most Standout Adobe Marketing Cloud Innovation during the Adobe Summit in Salt Lake City. Residential Mortgage Services Inc., with offices in Central Massachusetts, was honored by MassHousing for originating the highest number of the agency's loans statewide – 243 - totaling $56.3 million in financing. Antonia "Toni" McGuire, president and CEO of the Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center in Worcester, was honored by the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) for outstanding achievement in health and rehabilitative services at its 50th anniversary celebration. McGuire, of Westborough, is a CCRI alumnus. Active Logistics Inc., of Northborough, an agent for nationwide household goods carrier Mayflower, was honored for exceptional professional performance during Mayflower's annual awards program. 2015 Book of Lists Worcester Business Journal's Book of Lists is Central Massachusetts most comprehensive market research tool.
