Ex-Augusta mayor sues Mattson, fi rms for $900K Former Augusta Mayor William E. Dowling is seeking an almost $900,000 lien against Kevin Mattson and his fi rms seeking back wages, unused vacation and sick pay, loan repayment and other costs, accord- ing to a complaint in Kennebec County Superior Court. Dowling was mayor from 1999 to 2006. He also worked closely with developer Kevin Mattson and his businesses until late last year, according to the Kennebec Journal.
