These podcasts shed light on subjects of great interest to those whose work involves qualitative research. Podcasts of these interviews are available at the QRCA website www.qrca.org under the Publications link as streaming audio and can also be downloaded to your laptop or portable listening device as an MP3 file. The latest podcast features an inter- view with Jim Bryson, the founder and CEO of 20/20 Research, a Nashville based qualitative research firm with facilities in Nashville, Tennessee; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Miami, Florida. In addition to boasting three traditional locations, 20/20 is a leading provider of online qualitative solutions, including both asynchronous and real- time interviewing solutions. In this interview, Michael Carlon talk- ed with Jim about the irony of hating his research classes in college, and yet subse- quently helping to develop a very suc- cessful research business. Jim discusses the bet he took on online qualitative research, his time as a state senator in Tennessee, and his motivations for start- ing a school in Haiti. The conversation concludes with a dis- cussion about where the business is going and what qualitative research consultants must keep in mind to be successful in the future. Tune in and find out that there is more to Jim Bryson than meets the eye, or in this case, the ear.
