This year, however, the state is making big strides to get more commuters on the move. The Connecticut Department of Transportation has multiple projects in the works, repre- senting a shift in focus away from highways and bridges Joe McGee, vice president of public policy and programs at the Business Council of Fairfield County, has advocated for improvements to the New Haven Line in order to relieve congestion on I-95.
