Let's walk through a few possible scenarios Scenario 1: You or a loved one is in need of emergency care. During an emergency, no one wants to drive any distance. Having two emergency departments close to home is comforting. You know that when you enter Manchester Memorial Hospital or Rock- ville General Hospital, you will be treated by board-certified emergency physicians, nurses, and other emergency personnel, trained in basic and advanced life support. We combine state-of-the-art technology with a personal touch that you only find in a community hospital. Scenario 2: You or your child breaks an arm. Again, you don't want to travel far and you certainly don't want a long wait. ECHN has two Urgent Care Centers, one in South Wind- sor and the other in Somers, to meet non- emergency conditions. Our board-certified physicians are ready to treat minor sprains, strains, broken bones and colds, as well as provide X-ray and other diagnostic services. Both locations have extended hours, and are available to patients without an appointment. Scenario 3: You're not feeling well. You make an appointment with a physician on ECHN's medical staff, who is either in private practice or employed by Eastern Connecti- cut Medical Professionals (ECMP) Founda- tion Inc., a multispecialty physician group practice with over 80 affiliated professionals, who offer a full range of health care services, including primary and specialty care.
