Celebrating 140 Years • The Hartford Club 13
Junior Achievement of Southwest New England
is one of the beneficiaries of The Hartford Club's
program that allows executive directors of nonprofits
to become associate members for free. The club sees
it as yet another way to help the less fortunate in
society by helping nonprofits reduce expenses.
Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman is all smiles with the clowns
who performed at the annual Thanksgiving Dinner
for women and children living in area shelters. The
members throw the dinner, which includes a family
portrait and entertainment. It's part of The Hartford
Club's unheralded giving back to the community.

"We see our philanthropic efforts as
being good corporate citizens as part
of the community," said Larry Brown,
Hartford Club president. "We're much
more than a business organization.
We're looking to share the wealth. We
want to put our club and building to
good use serving the community." ❏
