Celebrating 140 Years • The Hartford Club 11 Jennifer Smith – Member for 9 months A property and casualty insurance agent who lives in Enfield and works in Somers, Smith sees no hindrance to the distance she travels. "I joined because I thought it would be a good opportunity for my business and to meet new people," she said. "I've met several people who have become friends and business connections." She likes the events and will bring clients to the club to entertain. "Our age group here is growing and coming up. The perception needs to be broken this is a stuffy, old men's club," Smith added. "It's something different. The people here are spectacular." Sarah Cianci – Member for 3 years Cianci is not your typical Hartford Club member because she's a middle school English teacher. "We've met a lot of authentic people here," she said. "We do a lot more activities in Hartford because of it. It's a great place for young people." John Jezowski – Member for 4 years Jezowski was a member previously but rejoined four years ago when he started a career in private banking. He highlighted how the club has changed and is much more active in the community with non-profit members and more families involved. "It's not just CEOs," he added. "The demographics and economy has changed but The Hartford Club plays a really critical part in the city," Jezowski said. "At the end of the day it's nice to see there is a place like this. You're always going to get first class service. The service is always fabulous and delivered with panache and is very personal."
