In addition to watching the world's top golfers compete, fans may take part in special events leading up to and during the week, all of which allows for additional funds to be generated for charity. Some of these events include a 5K race, Military Appreciation, Women's Day, Concert Series, Celebrity Pro- Am, Junior Pro-Am, Operation Shower and more. In addition, we encourage charities from throughout the region to use the tournament as an effective fundraiser. Nonprofits can work with us to host a special event or utilize our Birdies for Charity or Chip in for Charity programs to help raise funds. volunteer opportunities Every year, more than 4,000 people donate their time and effort to volunteer for the Travelers Championship. Our volunteers spend countless hours throughout the week to help deliver a world-class PGA TOUR experience for players, sponsors, fans and the media. Corporations, community groups and individuals are all encouraged to take part in more than 20 different volunteer opportunities ranging from Hospitality to Scoring at the 2015 Travelers Championship.
