We are a museum, preschool and nature center. Our planetarium, turtle town, animal sanctuary, and hands-on interactive exhibits provide fun learning experiences. Our preschool children and home-school groups have the added benefit of visiting the museum as part of their educational curriculum. Our Roaring Brook Nature Center offers five miles of walking paths and a wide range of indoor and outdoor programs. Many of our guests, who were museum visitors in their youth, are now the parents and grandparents of our school aged visitors. Through the years, we have grown into a multi- generational destination in our local community and beyond. The New Children's Museum is committed to showcasing exhibits and programming that support STEAM initiatives. While our exhibits change continually and offer new and exciting experiences to our guests, the museum remains steadfast in its mission. We will continue to support our community and engage our stakeholders in activities and programs that foster lifetime learning. We will continue to develop new tools and make them accessible to adults and organizations to help young people be inspired and become the next generation of great thinkers and problem solvers. Board of directors " " M y two grandsons have benefited from a very positive and enriching educational experience at The New Children's Museum and The New Children's Museum Pre-School. As a retired educator, I am impressed with the wonderful care, communication, personal attention, and accommodations offered all within a very warm, comfortable atmosphere, and the excellent quality of instruction and skills taught by the highly competent and caring professional staff. The children have weekly visits to the museum and instruction from one of the scientists, providing opportunities and experiences they would not normally have. – angela kane at The New Children's Museum Preschool, Wildlife Curator Miranda Mantello introduces students to Moe, a Savannah Monitor lizard, and teaches them about his diet, habitat, and physical characteristics.
