The college has identified a need for nearly 140,000 additional gross square footage to accommodate possible and projected growth at the college. – Increase funding for scholarships, programs and equipment • Less than 40 percent of MCC's budget comes from state funding. It is more important now than ever to strengthen philanthropic support of the college and bolster its ability to meet workforce needs through its students and programs. • Despite MCC's low cost of tuition, more than half of MCC students require financial aid — a number that has seen double-digit increases in recent years. Financial aid funding has remained flat despite increased enrollments. fundraisinG events/opportunities Each spring, the MCC Foundation hosts Evening of Fine Wines, a fundraiser that benefits MCC scholarships and programs. Last year, more than 600 guests attended the event, which raised more than $250,000 for student scholarships and programs. Visit www.MCCgiving.org for more information. GivinG opportunities Naming Opportunities Prominent naming opportunities are available across campus and at MCC on Main, the downtown arts and education center.
